Answer :-

Length of the rectangle is 24 m and breadth of the rectangle is 12 m.

Solution :-

Let the breadth of the rectangle be 'x'

Length of the rectangle = Twice breadth = 2(x) = 2x

Given that

Perimeter of the given rectangle = 72 m

We know that

Perimeter of a rectangle = 2(Length + Breadth)

⇒ 2(2x + x) = 72

⇒ 2(3x) = 72

Transpose 2 to RHS

⇒ 3x = 72/2

⇒ 3x = 36

Transpose 3 to RHS

⇒ x = 36/3

⇒ x = 12

Breadth = x = 12 m

Length = 2x = 2(12) = 24 m

Therefore length of the rectangle is 24 m and breadth of the rectangle is 12 m.

Answer:

Let the breath be x m and length be 2x m

Now , ATQ(according to question)

perimeter =2(length +breadth )

72=2(x+2x)

or, 72=2(3x)

or, 72=6x

or, 72/6=x

or, 12=x

or, x=12

so breadth =x=12

length = 2x=2×12 =36
