        Let the numbers are $4x$ and $5x$ respectively.

        According to a given condition,

       Two numbers are in the ratio 4:5.If 7 is subtracted from each of them,  then the ratio becomes 3:4. we will write as,

        $\Rightarrow \frac{4x-7}{5x-7}=\frac{3}{4}\\\Rightarrow 4(4x-7)=3(5x-7)\\\Rightarrow 16x-28=15x-21\\\Rightarrow 16x-15x=-21+28\\\Rightarrow x=7.$

       So, the first number will be

       $\Rightarrow 4x=4\times7=28.$

       And the second number will be

       $\Rightarrow 5x=5\times7=35.$

     Hence, the numbers are $28$ and $35$ respectively.
