11. Water is pouring into a conical vessel of diameter 5.2m and slant
height 6.8m (as shown in the adjoining figure), at the rate of 1.8m
per minute. How long will it take to fill the vessel?​

Answer:

Diameter = 5.2m

Therefore, Radius = 2.6m

Slant height = 6.8m

Therefore, height = l^2 - r^2 = 46.24 - 6.67 = 39.48m^2 = 6.28m

Therefore, volume = 1/3 X 22/7 X 2.6 X 2.6 X 6.28 = 44.47m^3

time taken to fill the vessel = 44.47m^3/1.8m^3 p.m. = 25min.(approx.)
