Answer:

The angles of a linear pair are x-1 ° , x +7° .

The value of x = (x-1) ° + ( x +7) ° = 180°

=> x- 1 °+ x+7° = 180°

=> x+ x +7-1°= 180°

=> 2x +6 ° = 180°

=> 2x =180°-6°

=> 2x = 174 °

=> x = 174°/2= 87°

=> x = 87° . (x value is 87° ,so we take x value as 87° )

1 st angle = x-1° = 87°-1° = 86°

2nd angle = x + 7 ° =87°+7°=94° .

Answer:

The value of x is 87°

Step-by-step explanation:

these are the angles of linear pair, means sum of both angles = 180°

(x-1)+(x+7) = 180

x-1+x+7 = 180

2x+7-1 = 180

2x+6 = 180

2x = 180-6

2x = 174

x = 174/2

x = 87°

hope it helps.
