Solution:

Given 11x+15y+23 = 0

=> 11x+15y = -23 ---(1)

and

7x+2y-20 = 0

=> 7x+2y = 20 ---(2)

Now ,

multiply (1) by 2 and equation (2) by 15, we get

22x + 30y = -46 ---(3)

105x + 30y = 300 ---(4)

subtract (3) from (4) , we get

=> 83x = 346

=> x = 346/83

substitute x = 346/83 in equation (2) , we get

=> 7(346/83) + 2y = 20

=> 2422/83 + 2y = 20

=> 2y = 20 - 2422/83

=> 2y = (1660 - 2422)/83

=> 2y = -762/83

=> y =-762/166

=> y = -381/83

Therefore,

x = 346/83 , y = -381/83
