Dear Student,

◆ Answer -

W(CO2) = 336 g

● Explanation -

Reaction for combustion of propane is represented as following balanced chemical question -

C3H8 + 5O2 --> 3CO2 + 4H2O

From this 1 mole of propane produces 3 moles of carbon dioxide.

3 × n(propane) => n(CO2)

3 × 112 / 44 => W(CO2) / 44

W(CO2) = 3 × 112 × 44 / 44

W(CO2) = 336 g

Hence, the mass of the carbon dioxide evolved in the reaction is 336 g.

Best luck dear...
