Let the sum be ₹x. Then,

according to question,

12.5% of x = 10

=> 12.5/100 × x = 10

=> 125/1,000 × x = 10

=> 5/40 × x = 10

=> 5x/40 = 10

=> x = 10 × 40/5

=> x = 80

Hence, the sum is ₹80.
