Answer:

U= -10 cm

f= 15 cm

1/f = 1/v + 1/u

So, 1/v= 1/f - 1/u

1/v= 1/15 + 1/10

1/v = (2+3)/30 (lcm)

Therefore v=5/30 = 6 cm

Hence the image is formed behind the mirror and therefore it is virtual and erect

Answer:

Position of image = 6 cm

The image is formed at 6 cm behind the mirror; it is a virtual and erect image and diminished.

Explanation:

Given,

Mirror = Diverging, Convex

Focal length, f = +15 cm,

Position of object, u = -10 cm

Let the position of image be 'v'.

Then, by mirror formula, we know that,

1/f = 1/v +1/u

By applying values, we get,

1/v = 1/15 +1/10

1/v = 5/30

v = + 6 cm

The image is formed 6 cm behind the mirror; it is a virtual and erect image
