Height (h) = 5 m

Time (t) = 5s

Initial velocity (u) = 0 (Object is initially at rest) Acceleration due to gravity (g) = ?

h = u×t+½×g×t²

5 = 0+½×g×5²

5 = 25/2g

(5×2)/25 = g

2/5 = g

0.4 m/s² = g

Acceleration due to gravity = 0.4 m/s²
