Vulnerable species

(i) Meaning: These are species whose population has declined to the levels from where it is likely to move into the endangered category.

(ii)They presently survive, but their survival is in danger and population is continuously decreasing.

(iii) Examples: Blue sheep, Asiatic elephant, Gangetic Dolphin, etc.

Extinct species

Extinct species are the organisms that have become extinct either in the wild or completely.

Extinction is a certainty when there are no surviving individuals that are able to reproduce and create a new generation. Example: Dinosaurs

Endangered species

An endangered species is a species of organisms facing a very high risk of extinction. They are living today but t heir number has decreased and may become extinct in future.

Endangered species are able to reproduce and create a new generation.

Example: According to 2010 survey only 250 Bengal tigers in India. It is a endangered species and if we do not protect and reproduce it more, it will become extinct in few years.

Hope it will help you.

Mark as brilliant please.
