let the number be x

ATQ

 \frac{1x}{3}  + 2 = 7 \\  \frac{1x+ 6}{3}  = 7  \\ x = 21 - 6 \\ x = 15

the required number is 15

Answer:Equation formed is x/3+2=7

x/3=7-2(transposition)

x/3=5

x=5*3(transposition)

Hence x is 15
