b) We know that number of moles present in an element

= the mass provided / the total mass of the element

or, 2 = mass provided / 17

we know mass of ammonia (NH₃) = 14 + (3 x 1) = 17

or, mass provided = 2 x 17 = 34 g

c) We know that number of moles of N₂ = 140 / 28 = 5 moles

and number of moles of H₂ = 30 / 2 = 15 moles

the reaction is s follows :

N₂ + 3H₂ ➞ 2NH₃

we can see that 15 moles of H₂ produces 10 moles of ammonia

Therefore volume of ammonia at STP  = 22.4 x 10 = 224 litres.
