small intestine is called small because its lumen is small to that of large intestine and it has a number of turns which helps the food to stay longer in it and nutrients get absorbed with the help of villi present in it, also bile which is secreted by gall bladder helps to break down large molecules of fat.

hope it helped !!

hey dear
here is your answer ☞

==============

⭐ small intestine is highly coiled and a large number of villi is present in it.
coiled structure helps the food to remain for greater duration in the small intestion so that maximum absorption can be done.
villi is a hair like structure and it helps in increasing the rate of absorption of minerals, vitamins etc. ⭐

hope it helps ^_^
