capacity of pool  = 230.4 m³

Step-by-step explanation:

given data

long = 18 m

wide = 8 m

deep = 2 m

shallow = 1.2 m

solution

we get here capacity of pool that is express as

capacity of pool is equal to volume of given trapezium based prism

capacity of pool  = Area of trapezium × h   ....................1

capacity of pool  = \frac{1}{2} (upper side height + lower side height ) × length] × breadth    ................2

put here value we get

capacity of pool  = { \frac{1}{2} ( 2 +1.2 ) × 18 }  × 8

capacity of pool  = 230.4 m³
