Answer:

Here r = r / 2, h = 2h

∴ Volume of cyclinder = π(r / 2)2 2h = 1 / 2 πr2h

Original volume of cyclinder = πr2h

Volume w.r.t. original volume of cyclinder

= (1 / 2) πr2h / πr2h = 1 / 2

Answer:

Solution :-

Let the radius and height of the cylinder be 12 cm and 20 cm respectively

Case 1

Therefore , the original volume will be as

follows.

Volume of the cylinder =

\pi r {}^{2}h

22/7 × 12 × 12 × 20

original volume = 9051.4 cm³

Case 2

if the radius is halved and the height is doubled, than the radius = 6 cm and the height = 40 cm

Volume of the new cylinder = 22/7 × 6 × 6 × 40

volume of the new cylinder = 4525.7 cm³

Therefore , in cylinder , if the radius is halved and the height is doubled, then the volume will be halved.
