We know area of semicircle =πr^2/2

Given:

Radius of semicircle ARC/BSD

= 142

= 7 cm

And,

Radius of semicircle APB/CQD

= 72

= 3.5 cm

Area of shaded region

= 2 (Area of ARC/BSD - Area of APB/CQD)

Then,

Area of shaded region

= 2(22/7 × 7^2/2 − 22/7 × 3.5^2/2)

=2(22 × 7/2 − 11 × 3.5/2)

=2(11 × 7 − 5.5× 3.5)

=2(77−19.25 )

= 2 × 57.75

= 115.5 cm^2

Answer:

66 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Perimeter of shaded region = Perimeter of semicircle(APB + ARC + CQD + BSD)

= (π * 3.5 + π * 7 + π * 3.5 + π * 7)

= (3.5π + 7π + 3.5π + 7π)

= 21π

= 21 * (22/7)

= 66 cm.

Hope it helps you.
