Answers:

Question 1:

C.P for which John bought the refrigerator = Rs. 5000

Transportation costs = Rs 100

Repair costs = Rs 600

Total cost price = C.P + (Transportation costs + Repair costs)

= 5000 + (100+600)

= 5000 + 700

= Rs. 5700

∴ Total cost price is Rs. 5700.

Question 2:

S.P = Rs. 7100

C.P = Rs. 5700

S.P > C.P

∴ Profit

Profit amount = S.P - C.P

= 7100 - 5700

= Rs. 2000

Profit % = {\dfrac{Profit}{C.P}\times100

=\dfrac{2000}{5700}\times100

= 35%

∴ John has a profit of 35% [Rs. 2000].
