Answer:if 6 labourers can build a wall in 10 days then 1 labour will take 60 days. now understand if efficiency of labour get doubled then the same wall can be build in 30 days. So there's 3 wall to be build so it will take 90 days by a single labour. So in order to build these 3 wall in 5 days, the no of labour required is 90/5=18 days.

Hence it will take 18 days to build 3 wall in 5 days.

Therefore 20 laborers take '6 days' to build the same wall.

Given:

12 laborers can build a wall in 10 days.

To Find:

The number of days taken by 20 laborers to build the same wall.

Solution:

The given question can be solved very easily as shown below.

Given that, 12 laborers can build a wall in 10 days.

Let us assume that the work required to build the wall is '12 × 10 = 120 units'.

Then work done by 12 laborers to build a wall in 10 days = 120 units

Then work done by 12 laborers in 1 day = 120/10 = 12 units

Hence work done by 1 labor in 1 day = 12/12 = 1 unit

Then work done by 20 laborers in 1 day = 1 unit × 20 = 20 units

But total work to be done = 120 units

Number of days required to complete a task = ( Total Work done ) / ( Work done in 1 day )

⇒ So Number of days required by 20 laborers to build the same wall = 120/20 = 6 days

Therefore 20 laborers take '6 days' to build the same wall.
