12 male persons and 15 female persons complete a work in 20 days. how many days it will take when 4 male persons and 5 female persons will do it? explain it plz

let the no. of days taken by 4 male person and 5 female person be x

total no. of people in the first case = 12+15=27

total no. of people in the second case = 4+5=9

no. of people (p) = 27, 9

no. of days(q)= 20, x

less the people, more the no. of days taken to complete the work, hence, and q vary inversely.

p×q=27×20=9×x

540=9x

540/9=x

60=x

hence, 4 male persons and 5 female persons take 60 days to complete their work.
