I hope it help you.

Answer

12(n -2) (n-3) = 5(n+1)n

12n-24n -3=5n+5n

12n-24n+5n-5n=3

-12n=3

n=-12/3

n= -4

Step-by-step explanation:

12(n-2)(n-3)= 5(n+1)n

(12n-24)(n-3) =(5n+5)n

(12n^2-36n-24n+72)=5n^2+5n

Taking RHS TO THE LHS WE GET

12n^2-5n^2-36n-5n-24n+72=0

7n^2-65n+72=0

now compare the eq with ax^2+bx+c

we get a=7 , b=-65 and c= 72

putting these value in the quadratic formula which is

-(b)+-√b^2-4ac/2a

=-(-65) +-√(-65)^2-4×7×72/2×7

=65+-√4225-2016/14

=65+-√2209/14

=65+-47/14

taking +ve part we get

65+47/14=112/14= 8

taking -ve part

65-47/14= 18/14 or 9/7
