The pH value of less then 7 indicates an acidic solution while greater then 7 indicates a basic solution. The pH value of a neutral solution is 7. This, in the case, the solution A with pH=6 is acidic and has more hydrogen ion concentrations then the solution B (pH=8 which is basic.
