Given:

The cost of morning show = 75/-

The cost of evening show = 100/-

Total number of movies = 12

Total amount spent = 1075/-

To find:

The number of evening movie tickets bought by Nazia

Calculation:

Let the number of morning shows be ‘x’ , the number of evening shows be ‘y’

Total number of movies = 12

  => x+y = 12     ……(1)

Total amount spent = 1075/-

  => 75x + 100y = 1075

       75x + 100(12-x) = 1075    [from eq(1)]

       75x + 1200 - 100x = 1075

       -25x = -125

        x = 5

Substitute the value of x in eq(1)

  => x+y = 12

       5+y = 12

       y = 7

The number of evening movie tickets bought by Nazia are 7 [option(1)]
