Step-by-step explanation:

Suppose that greater number is = x

square of greater number = x^2

square of another number is = 2x

Equation is

x^2 - 2x = 120

x^2 - 2x - 120 = 0

x^2 - 12x +10x - 120 = 0

x(x - 12) + 10(x - 12) = 0

(x - 12) (x + 10) = 0

(x-12) = 0

x = 12

x + 10 = 0

x = -10

Greater number is 12

other number is 2× 12

= 24
