12 The first figure given below shows a wire in circular shape with the radius of 80cm.
Shyam cut out an arc from wire such that the arc makes an angle of 90° at the center.

Answer:

Given :

Radius of 1st circle =80cm

Now, Length of wire =circumference

=2πr

=2×3.14×80cm

=502.4cm

Now,

length of arc =length of wire/4

=502.4cm/4

= 125.6cm

Since arc is bent to a circle,

=circumference of circle=Length of arc

=2πr=125.6cm

=2×3.14×r=125.6cm

=r=125.6cm/6.28

=r =20cm

Thus, radius of new circle = 20 cm
