Length of floor = 4m

Breadth of floor = 3m

Area of floor = length × Breadth = 4×3 = 12

Side of square tile = 0.5 m

Area of square tile = Side^2 = 0.5^2 = 0.25^2

So, Number of tiles required to cover the floor = 12/0.25 = 48

Hence 48 tiles are required to cover the floor.
