Here the power on top of 10 decides whether the decimal point moves to the right or left. If power is positive, then decimal point goes to the right and if negative, then decimal point goes to the left. So :
125 × = 12.5 as decimal point moves to the left ( negative power ) and since power is -1 it moves only once.
