let the number of adults be X
and the number of childrens be y
therefore
given that
X + Y = 1250 (eqn1)
And
75x+25y=61250(eqn2)
divide equation 2 by 25
3x+y=2450(eqn3)
But
Y=1250-x (eqn1)
Therefore
3x+1250-x=2450
2x=1200
x=600
Therefore
Y=1250-600
Y=650
and the number of childrens be y
therefore
given that
