32 toffees are filled in 144 boxes.

Solution:

Total number of toffees filled in a box = 36

Total boxes filled with toffees = 128 boxes

In new boxes 4 toffees are reduced in each box, so now new boxes is to be filled with 36 – 4 = 32 toffees each box.

Total number of toffees in 128 boxes is 128 \times 36=4608 toffees.

New number of boxes that can fill 32 toffees per box is \bold{\frac{4608}{32}=144} boxes.
