Given Expression,

12m² - 9m + 7 and 3m - 8

Let be 12m² - 9m + 7 eq(i). and 3m - 8 be eq(ii).

On Adding eq(ii) from (i).

12m² - 9m + 7 + 3m - 8

= 12m² - 6m - 1

Hence on adding the given expressions, answer will be 12m² - 6m - 1.

Hope it helps.

Hi,

Solution of your problem is as follows:

Add: 12m² - 9m + 7 and 3m - 8

 = 12m^{2} - 9m +7 +3m - 8\\ \\ \\ = 12m^{2} - 9m +3m +7 - 8\\ \\ \\ = 12m^{2} - 6m -1\\ \\

Point to remember:

While addition in algebra ,one should remember that like term add with like

term and the same rule is applicable in subtraction.

for example:

→ x and x are like

→ x and y are not like.

→ and are like

→ x and are not like

hope it helps you.
