Hi,

Find the solution of your problem below:

Expression: 2x + 3y + 5 ......... expression 1

Expression : -7x ....... expression ii

Now we have to add both expression

= 2x + 3y + 5 +(-7x)

= 2x - 7x +3y + 5

= -5x + 3y +5

While addition in algebra ,one should remember that like term add with like

term and the same rule is applicable in subtraction.

for example:

→ x and x are like

→ x and y are not like.

 x^{2} and x^{2} are like

→ x and x^{2} are not like

hope it helps you.

Given Expressions,

2x + 3y + 5 and

-7x

[Since, the Points on the Y-axis will be zero at that particular condition.]

Let 2x + 3y + 5 be ex (i) & and ; -7x + 0 be ex(ii).

On Adding both the Expression,

2x + 3y + 5 -  7x

=  3y - 5x + 5

Hence, the answer is 3y - 5x + 5 when the given expressions are added.

Hope it helps.
