12x²-6 = 9+8x

=> 12x²-6-9-8x = 0

=> 12x²-15-8x = 0

=> 12x²-8x-15 = 0

=> 12x²-18x+10x-15 = 0

=> 6x(2x-3)+5(2x-3) = 0

=> (2x-3)(6x+5) = 0

(2x+3) = 0 => x = -3/2

and (6x+5) = 0 => x = -5/6

so when we factorize the above equation

(2x+3)(6x+5) is the answer

and the values for x can be -3/2 or -5/6

hope this helps

12x^2 - 8x - 15 = 0

12x^2 - 18x + 10x - 15 = 0

6x ( 2x - 3 ) + 5 ( 2x - 3 ) = 0

(2x - 3 ) ( 6x + 5 ) = 0

either

x = 3/2

or

x = -5/6
