13. A circular flower bed is surrounded by a path 2 m wide. The diameter of the flower bed is 32 m. What is the
area of this path?​

Diameter of a flower bed = 32

Radius = 32/2

= 16 m

Area = pi x r square

= 22/7 x 16 square

= 22/7 x 256

= 804.571

Radius of the inner flower bed = 16 - 2

= 14

So, area = pi x r square

= 22/7 x 14 square

= 22/7 x 196

= 616

Area of the path = (804.571 - 616) m square

= 188.571 m square
