for 8 yrs must another man deposit an amount 5400 at 5% per annum to get the same interest.

case 1 : amount deposited by man, P = 9000

rate of interest , r = 6% per annum

time , t = 4 yrs

interest = P × r × t/100 = 9000 × 6 × 4/100

= 90 × 24 = 2160

case 2 : amount deposited by man , P = 5400

rate of interest , r = 5% per annum

time = t

so, interest = P × r × t/100

= 5400 × 5 × t/100

= 270t

a/c to question,

interests getting by man are same.

so, 2160 = 270t

⇒t = 2160/270 = 216/27 = 8 yrs

Answer:

8 Years

Step-by-step explanation:

The first man

Principal ( P)= 9000

Interest ( R)= 6 %

Time(T) = 4 years

S . I = \frac{P * R * T}{100}   = \frac{9000* 6 * 4}{100}   =  2160

The second man ,

P = 5400

Interest = 2160

R = 5 %

T = ?

2160 = \frac{5400 * 5 * T}{100}

T =  8 Years
