13. A square is formed from a 10 cm long wire. If with the same wire a rectangle
of length 12 cm is formed then what is the breadth of the rectangle? Which
figure will have more area? Square or rectangle?​

If the same wire is used then

Perimeter of square=perimeter of rectangle

4*side=2(l+b)

4(10)=2(12+b)

40=24+2b

b=8

So, breadth of rectangle is 8 cm

Area of square=(side)

Area of rectangle =l*b

=12*8

=96cm

Thus area of square is larger by 100-96=4cm
