pond of water at the base of the tower. When is the splash
heard at the top? Given, g = 10 m s-2 and speed of sound =
340 m s-1

t =  \sqrt{2h \div g}

2. t1 = 10 sec

3. Now, time for sound to reach the top is

t2 = s \div v

t2 = 500/340

4. Time after which the splash will be heard is t1 + t2.
