Hi
Nice question

Question:-
If p = 2 - a
Then, a³ + 6ap + p³ - 8 = 0

Solution:-

Simply put the value of p in the given equation
we get
LHS = a³ + 6a(2 - a) + (2 - a)³ - 8

Using identity
(x - y)³ = x³ - y³ - 3x²y + 3xy²

LHS = a³ + 12a - 6a² + 2³ - a³ - 3(2)²(a) + 3(2)(a)² -8
LHS = a³ + 12a - 6a² + 8 - a³ - 12a + 6a² - 8
LHS = 0

LHS = RHS

Hence proved

Hope this helps you.
