SOLUTION

TO SIMPLIFY

 \sf{25 + ( - 17) + ( - 9)}

EVALUATION

Step : 1

Multiply + sign and - sign

We know that ( + ) × ( - ) = ( - )

 \sf{25 + ( - 17) + ( - 9)}

 \sf{ = 25   - 17 - 9}

Step : 2

Subtract 17 from 25

Since 25 - 17 = 8

So we get

 \sf{25 + ( - 17) + ( - 9)}

 \sf{ = 25 - 17 - 9}

 \sf{ = 8 - 9}

Step : 3

Subtract 9 from 8 to get final result

 \sf{25 + ( - 17) + ( - 9)}

 \sf{ = 25 - 17 - 9}

 \sf{ = 8 - 9}

 \sf{ =  -1 }

FINAL ANSWER

 \sf{25 + ( - 17) + ( - 9) =  - 1}
