Answer:

13) 4x + 9 = 45

4x = 45 - 9 ( Bring the numbers to one side and the x terms to another side.)

4x = 36

x = 36/4

x = 9

( when bring the terms to another side, always change

their signs. for eg. the + 9 which was on the left side will

be - 9 on the right side

The 4 which was multiplied to x on the left side will be

divided by 36 on the right side)
