13. There is a circular flower bed of radius 30 m. There is a 10 m wide running
track around it. What is the area of the running track?

● Circular Bed Radius = 30m.

● Wide = 10m.

Area of the circular flower bed

= π × 30² sq. m.

Area of circular bed and track

π × (30+10) ²

= π ×40².

Therefore area of the running track is

π × 40² - π × 30²

= π (40² - 30²)

= 22/7 × 700

= 2200 sq. m.

Area of the running track is 2200 sq. m.
