KOLKATA -------------------------------------------- MADHUPUR

Let,

i) 1st train go 1st half or the half before they meet each

other in x hours.

1st train go 2nd half in 1 hour.

ii) 2nd train go 1st half from other direction in x hours.

2nd train go 2nd half in 4 hours.

so, the equation is x*x = 4*1

x = √4

x = 2

So, the first train go to Madhupur in 1+2= 3 hours

and the second train reach Kolkata in 4+2= 6 hours

Hence, first train is twice faster than second train.

HOPE IT HELP.
