Solution :-

We it is provided that :-

Initial Velocity of block = 0.5 m/s

Deceleration due to friction = 0.05 m/s²

Well we can solve this question by using this equation .

v = u + at

As asks the time when it stops , which means the velocity becomes zero in respect to the horizontal surface.

Now we will put our values :-

→ 0 = 0.5 - 0.05 × t

→ -0.5 = -0.05 × t

 \rightarrow t = \dfrac{-0.5}{-0.05}

\rightarrow t = \dfrac{50}{5}

→ t = 10

So time taken = 10 sec
