15% is the  percentage of new trees  in the forest now.

Step-by-step explanation:

The number of new trees planted = 20/100 * 2000

= 400 trees

The number of trees cut down = 10% of 2000

= 100 trees

Total number of trees after the plantation drive = 2000 + 400 = 2400 trees

Trees cut down = 100

Remaining trees = 2300

The percentage of new trees  in the forest now = 2300 - 2000/2000 * 100

= 15%
