The polar form of a complex number z=a+bi is z=r(cosθ+isinθ)z=r(cosθ+isinθ) .

r=|z|=√ a2+b2   =√ 25+4 =√ 29≈5.39

for the argument θ .

Since a>0 ,

Using the formula θ=tan^−1(b/a)

θ=tan^−1(5/2)    ≈2.5

Note that here θ is measured in radians.

Therefore, the polar form of 2+5i is about 5.39(cos(2.5)+isin(2.5))
