Answer:

An object in motion continues in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force. "the law of inertia". This is because of that there is a natural tendency of objects to keep on doing what they're doing. All objects resist changes in their state of motion

\huge\underline\mathcal{ANSWER::}

First law:

Newton's first law states that a body in rest or motion tries to remain in the same rest/motion position untill and unless an external force is applied on the system.

ex: a body moving without friction will move continuously until an external agent acts on it

inertia:

It's the tendency of bodies to remain in the same state of motion or rest

ex: in a moving bus if you stand and the bus stops suddenly your body falls towards front

if we look both the cases they are similar so why Newton's first law is also sometimes referred as law of inertia

hope tumhe Samaj me Aya ♥️
