14 tin holds 178 \frac{1}{2} litre oil.

178 \frac{1}{2} = \frac{178 \times 2+1}{2}= \frac{357}{2} litre

1 tin will contain = \frac{357}{2} \div14=\frac{357}{2 \times 14}= \frac{51}{4} =12 \frac{3}{4} Litre

So 12 \frac{3}{4} litre oil will be there in 1 tin

Given 14 tin can hold 178 1/2 l of oil = 357/2 l
1 tin can hold (357/2)/14
⇒357/28
⇒12.75 l
