 \frac{14}{x + y} + \frac{3}{x - y} = 5 .......(a)\\and \: \\ \frac{21}{x + y} - \frac{1}{x - y} = 2.......(b)

Now,multiply (b) by 3
63/(x+y) -3/(x-y) =6..... (c)
Now add (a) and (c)
(14+63)/(x+y) = 11
11x+11y=77
x+y=7 .... (d)
now put x+y= 7 in (a)
14/7+3/(x-y) = 5
2+{3/(x-y)} = 5
3/(x-y) =3
x-y=1 ....(e)
Solve (d) and (e) we get
x=4 and 3
Hope it helps you.
