Concept:

A fraction is a numerical number that is represented in the numerator and denominator form.

Given:

We have,

15/14 lies between 1 and 5/2.

Find:

We are asked to find that how the given value lies between the other two given numbers.

Solution:

So,

We have,

15/14

Now,

Multiply 1 by 2/2,

We get,

1 × 2/2 = 2/2

Now,

We have the same denominator of the given numbers,

i.e.

22 and 5/2,

Now,

Multiply 2/2 by 7/7,

We get,

2/2 × 7/7 = 14/14

Now,

Multiply 5/2 by 7/7,

We get,

5/2 × 7/7 = 35/14

So,

Now,

The denominator  of given numbers and 15/14 is the same,

And we can see that,

14/14 < 15/14 < 35/14

That means 15/14 lies between 1 and 5/2.

Hence, 15/14 lies between 1 and 5/2.
