 \frac{15(2 - y) - 5(y + 6)}{1 - 3y}  = 10 \\  \\  \frac{30 - 15y - 5y - 30}{1 - 3y}  = 10 \\  \\  - 20y = 10(1 - 3y) \\  - 20y = 10 - 30y \\  - 20y + 30y = 10 \\ 10y = 10 \\ y =  \frac{10}{10}  \\ y = 1

Answer:

15(2-y)-5(y+6)/1-3y=10

Multiply the terms

1) 15(2-y)

2) -5(y+6)

1) 30-15y

2) -5y-30 = -30-5y

Now add/subtract terms. Here it is subtract.( Plz note not to add another minus. It is not to be done in this situation.)

30-15y-30-5y

= 20y (both 30 get cancelled)

Now the division

20y ÷ 1 - 3y

20y ÷ -3y+1

-6.6666y+1 = 10

-6.6666y = 9

y = 9 ÷ -6.6666

y= -1.3501

Sorry the answer is wrong
