15 cm, 20 cm, 25 cm : The lengths of three segments are given for constructing a triangle. Say whether a triangle with these sides can be drawn. Give the reason for your answer.

Let a , b and c are three

given line segments ,

a =15cm , b = 20cm , c = 25cm

Sum of any two sides of a

triangle is greater than the

third side .

i ) a + b = 15+20 = 35 >c

ii ) b+c = 20 + 25 = 45 > a

( True )

iii ) c + a = 25 + 15 = 40 > b

( True )

Therefore ,

We can construct a triangle

with given three line segments.
