Fill a beaker with water. Place a few crystals of copper sulphate there, and then let it alone for a while without touching it. After some time, we can observe that the beaker is filled with a solution that is a consistent colour. Here, copper sulphate and water diffuse separately. We may conclude from this experiment that solutes in a solution go from a greater concentration to a lower concentration.
